DDR RAM question

I have an ASUS A7V8X mobo with an Athlon XP 2800+ CPU, only one of the ram slots supports PC3200 ram, the other two support PC2700. I have one 512MB PC3200 installed right now. I thought I read somewhere here on the forums for DDR RAM to work best you should install it in pairs? If that is the case should I get two 256MB PC2700 sticks to replace the PC3200 or just keep what I have for the best performance, would it make that much of a difference. I use my computer for games.

Also in the bios settings, there is something called "system performance" that is set to optimal right now. You can also change it to turbo, I read the manual but it didn't say what turbo does, only that you should only use it if your DRAM supports it. What exactly would the turbo do and would it help my system? Thanks.

The "paired RAM" theory really only applies to dual channel...which the KT400 doesn't support

Turbo will tweak the latency timings for your RAM..if the RAM isn't quality it may not hold the speed and could crash the system...

Thanks Telexen. I have Samsung RAM. Since I don't have any problems running the games I have right now I'll just leave it be.
