So.....
How do you change the comm setting on a modem?

If it's an ISA modem, it's probably a jumper or two on the modem itself. A PCI modem would be taken care of within the OS. Win9x would have it somewere around where Tony said, NT/2K/XP would have it in Control Panel -> Phone and Modem options
