Need some Norton Ghost help

I am having some problems with norton ghost 7.5

I have used it many many times but never had these problems.

Ok, I went to ghost a dudes old pentium 1 Dell....he had a 10G hard drive which I knew he only had about 1.3G of data on.

So I took an 8.5g hard drive with me.....it gave me the error message "destination drive too small.

Hmm, I have always been under the impression that it didnt calculate empty space etc.....so I had to drive back home, leaving the guys comp down.....the next size drive I had readily available was a 60G.....so I took it and ghosted his stuff to it....using "disk to disk".....it gave me an error message then saying that "the bios of this machine doesnt may not support a drive this big..some partitions may be unaccessable"...so I ghosted it anyway.

Well I get home and I am gonna ghost the 60g drive with his 1.3g of data onto the 10g drive in a dell p3 I am selling him.

Well of course it wont let me do it...if I do "disk to disk" it says "destination drive too small.

I then saw that it would let me do "partition to partition" so I did it...but when it boots, it asks for the name of the command interpreter etc etc.

Arggghhhh.

When I run fdisk and look at it, it says the partition is a non-dos partition.

How can I fix this????

If the 60g ghosted drive somehow got copied as a non-dos partition (due to the bios error message etc) what can I do to fix this?

I have partition magic...is there anyway to fix it using that???

Helpppppppp, thanks, JP

Not sure if it will work for you but Partition Magic has a convert function for Fat/fat32/NTFS. :=)

Instead of doing a disk to disk, do a disk to image onto the 10GB drive.

Are you wanting to use an image of one machine onto another that has completly differnt hardware and will crash and burn big time when you try to start it?
