PIII 733MHz on a Abit BX6-rev2 ?

PIII 733MHz on a Abit BX6-rev2 ?

we ran across a couple PIII 733MHz (slot 1's) from salvage & pulled an old Abit BX6-rev2 out of the closet to test them. They work!

Will a Bios flash allow it to identify this cpu, or must it be set using "User Defined" settings.

volts is 1.65, bus is 133, what should the multiplier be, 5.5x?

The BX6r2 will have no problem working with the P3-733. The only issue is that this CPU uses a 133MHz FSB and the multiplier is locked. You'll have to overclock the FSB in order to take advantage of the CPU. Otherwise you'll only be running at 550Mhz (5.5x100).
