Mandrake 9.2 due in September

According to this article, Drake 9.2 is on the way. And ..... Drake's financial position is steadily improving.

Thats nice, but the post was about Mandrake 9.2, not announce your favorite distro.

So, BOT, are there any newly announced features or is this just a maintenance release?

I know the exact feeling. I am running Drake 9.1 at the moment but want to get Slack or Debian going probably tonight or tomorrow.

Very nice post Telexen.. I am sure that's why guru made this thread.

I was a bit disappointed with 9.1, but it did work best on my Athlon dualie rig... I am holding my breath for 9.2 ....already paid for it

ANY distro can be bloated or slim. Just depends how many packages you choose to install & how you tweak it.

Thank you. I'll agree that the mainstream distros like RH and Drake come with a lot installed by default you can certainly remove just about all the fluff if you feel so inclined. There will be a few tools each distro provides that might break things if you remove them but aside from that you can pretty much slim them down about as much as you want.
