XP shutdown problem...debuglog?

When I shut down windows, it takes a disgustingly long time....and then it pops up a "debuglog" or something to that effect. Which I end up haveing to "end now" anyway.

If I shut down everything in my system tray, it shuts down faster, but the debug log still comes up. Just faster.

When it was a clean install, with nothing but the os, it started and shut down quick. I have experienced this in both 2k and xp.

The stuff I have running in the background are usually:
AVG
Creative volume control thing
AIM and/or gaim
wireless network icon
and maybe 1 or 2 more things i can't remember right now...(at work)

Anyone know what's up?

By the debuglog you're talking about that windows has recovered from a serious error, reporting thing correct?

--Edit--- NVM, was thinking of something different. Have you updated any drivers or installed any new software or hardware recently b4 this started happening? What process does it actualy want you to close?

There's an application or process that isn't closing down when you shut Windows down.
The "end now" dialog should tell you which app is causing the problem. What does it say exactly?
