Icon disappearing from systray

this happens often.It seems to hesitate for a few seconds,then acts like it refreshes the desktop(all the icons go off then back on) then everything but the speaker is gone from the systemtray.

I don't see that it hurts performance,but you can't get to AVG,or D/L manager for controls.This is the only machine I have that does this.

Any help is appreiciated

the system resources run 70-75% most of the time.This may happen just a few minutes from a fresh boot up,or two days being on.Pretty strange

That's exactly what happens to the systray when Explorer crashes then restarts. So something is crashing Explorer.exe then it's automatically restarting. I'd try using Dr. Watson or some other method to keep a log of events then see if you can find out what's causing it.
