Kids Recommend an MP3 tag editor?

I prefer my MP3's with version 1 tags only. I've been using ID3Kill to remove version 2 tags and EncSpot Pro to edit version 1 tags. Is there a program that will remove version 2 tags and edit version 1 tags AND is free? I don't want much, do I?

Winamp will let you edit them, right click on it in the playlist and click "file info"

That's time consuming though...tag renamers will let you mass rename files/tags

Thanks for the Winamp tip

I had never noticed this was there!

However, it does not appear to allow the removal of version 2 tags... (?)

Hmm, does using a 3rd party MP3 tag editor have any advantages over using windows XP by right-clicking the file, clicking properties, clicking summary, then click advance so that you can manually edit the fields because it shows up fine in my MP3 player editing the tags like that.

crazyray, CDEX supports ID3 v.1 and v.2 tags and can tag files in both versions. It might be able to re-tag them--haven't tried it though.
