Credit question

Hello everyone. Hope everybody is having a good Sunday.

I have a question about a DELL puchase I want to make. Since I`m not US citizen and here in FLorida with a University Visa, (student), I`m wondering if I can purchase a LAPTOP from them and then pay month by month.
I saw they have no interests and all the good stuff, but i HAVE NO credit, I think. I do have a social secutiry number....

Does anybody think I can make it?

When I bought my laptop, I was 18 and had no credit. I tried for the 90 day no payment option but I wasn’t eligible.
They did though allow me to purchase it and pay the month by month option. I believe if you have a place where you live and they know where to find you. They will allow it

Unless someone is a dell representative here, I would call them up Monday and see if they can assist you. I don’t see why they shouldn’t have a problem if you have a permanent residence.

as a student do you have a steady flow of income?

Jason

Jason, thanks very much for the reply.

I will try to call them up Tomorrow and ask them. I hope they will accept me.
Although paying monlthy, with interests, is going to rise the laptop cost...its the only option I have!

Anyway, thanks a lot and if anyone else has some suggestions/comments..please feel free to post them

No income...I`m not allowed to work in the US being non citizen.

that is really sad. Cause I need to survive and I`m tired of depending from someone.

bshplt:

If you have any collateral, take out a loan from a local bank then pay off the computer in a lump sum. Problem will probably be high interest on the loan, as it will likely be considered a "personal loan."

Perhaps your college / university has a credit program and you would pledge against any advanced tuition ...? You have to be creative.

Good luck.

actually my university has a 10% discount with DELL.

But I`m going to ask if they have a credit program for sure...thanks for the suggestion!
