WC3 and Battlefield can work with just TPC/IP so you shouldn't need IPX for those. You may just want to remove IPX to prevent problems.
If you need IPX a comon problem is with the computer incorrectly sensing the frame type, so you may want to set it manually.
Goto Network Connections, select properties of your NIC, the properties of IPX, then change Frame type from Auto to 802.2 or 802.3 depending on what others are actually using (they all need to be using the same frame type to communicate via IPX). BTW, 802.2 is actually the newer/better version.
