ive seen sites all over the web telling you how to build a mame box ....blueprints and stuff for the actual cabinet but what about the controls? how do you make the controls? have any of you guys done this? if so, could you please enlighten me?

Multi Arcade Machine Emulator

Its a program that emulates standa up arcade machines so that the "games" called ROMS can be played on a PC.

As far as the controls...because M.A.M.E. has the ability to assign any keyboard key to any game function... most people just split/modify keyboards to connect directly to the controls.

A friend of mine just built one. I did the art work for his marquees. This is the type controller he used. And here's a thread I posted about it earlier.

i saw on one of the sites that you can hack an arcade track ball and wire it to a mouse now how do you do this the site doesnt show you how the link it has doesnt work. you guys know how?
