I recently bought a bunch of parts to make myself a new machine which are as follows:
Mainboard: KT400-ANB
Processor: Athlon XP 2800+
RAM: 1GB DDR333
O/S: Win XP Pro
The problem is when I boot the machine, it only logs the processor clock speed as 1250 MHz, when it should be about 2.53 GHz. I have tried looking through the BIOS for how to fix it, but they aren't the same as what I've dealt with in the past. Thanks very much in advance.

The System Bus is probably what needs to be set. Also check your manual to make sure there isn't a jumper for a 100/133mhz or 166mhz setting...if there is set that to 166mhz.

You will need to set your motherboard jumpers correctly. They are labled JP2 and JP3. To set them for 333Mhz, JP2 will need to be jumpered (shorted) and JP3 you will remove the jumper (open). They should be listed on page 21 of your motherboard manual.
Hey I almost forgot,

The mainboard is a 200/266/333 FSB board. The factory setting on the jumpers is pre-set to 333MHz (or so it says in the manual.) Also, the system bus you are talking about is the FSB?
Huh. It should be a 2 pin, but any way, to short it put the jumper on pins 1 and 2. Look closely on the board next to it, there should be pin 1 stamped next to it.
