I currently have a K-6-2 500 w' a 15 gig Maxtor Hdd ( which is constantly having errors and bad sectors ). I have a new 40 gig Maxtor ( 7200 rpm ) and a new 300 watt PS . I plan on using windows 2000 and have gotten all the drivers for my video and sound card.I will be using a brand new D Link DFE-530 TX+ ethernet card. My main question is....Should I retain the 500 CPU or use my K-6-3-450+ CPU. The main purpose of this computer is to connect to my wife's network at work and copy drafts and folders.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
