How to stop windows update?

Hello everyone

Need some help here I cant figure out how to turn off the darn windows update. I want it so I can download update myself and not when download are available and it does itself. The OS is WinXp Home OEM. It slows down my connection even though I have Highspeed. Like when i download from kazaa or play Earth and Beyond online. Doesnt cause alot of problems at all I just want to stop it. Just so you know heres my specs of my comp even though it actually doesnt have anything to do with this.

ECS K7S5A Pro Rev5
1.33 Thunderbird
Powmax PSU 450watts
512 PC2100 (generic) I believe Works great!
120gb Maxtor HD Ata 133
CD/Floppy/DVD
128mb DDR Geforce4 MX 440se
Philips Sonic Edge 5.1
I guess thats about it :P Everything else is onboard

Control Panel-System-Automatic Updates Tab-Uncheck top box.

Use your Control Panel with Classic View not Category View.

There's also a Windows Update service that may or may not be sneaking stuff in...
