I'm trying to understand subnetting...
Take this Class C IP for example: 255.135.175.0 and this Subnet mask 255.255.255.16. Below are the binary convesions for both these addresses.
IP in binary: 11001000.10000111.10101111.00000000
Binarymask: 11111111.11111111.11111111.0001
0000
Ok, the first host address on the network is the host part of the binary subnet mask (the part in bold) to a decimal value of one which would mean 11111111.11111111.11111111.00010001
and the last host on the subnetwork of 11111111.11111111.11111111.00010000 is done by getting the last valid host of the subnetwork which is 11111111.11111111.11111111.00011110
