Core Voltage?

I just got Motherboard Monitor 5 working and noticed my mobo temp is 37*C and cpu is 56*C (I'm running AMD) I assume these temps are fine. But my Core 1 voltage is 3.30 V which is in the redline as is +3.3 (4.96 volts) and the one which is off the scale is the +5.00 one which reads
12.40 Volts!!!!!!

What are the core and voltage stuff? I haven't even heard of it before. Are they fine? the +5.00 one is off the scale! What should i do?

First, I would reccomend that you try to keep the cpu temp under 50C. Why? AMD says they work at up to 60C, but do you really trust a .0002cent thermometer? To change your core voltage, access the BIOS. Under one of the menus is an option to change the voltage. See where its at and change if needed. My guess is mobo monitor is runnin incorrect cuz those core voltages are WAY too high.

It seems like your motherboard monitor has its sensors messed up. Your vCore is 3.3. Your 3.3 is 5V. Yout 5v is really 12V. Looks like it has ithem backwards. Is the CPU temp is the core temp or the socket temp?

Did your mobo come with monitoring software? I can't use motherboard monitor because it reads my 12v line as 9 and alarms me. I guess the way the mobo is set up it splits the 12v line into 9 and 3v so the monitor that CAME with my motherboard reads it fine.

There should be a few choices on where to get the voltage readings from...the default one is a lot of the time wrong.

if your vcore was at 3.3 your processor would have become a smokin pile of melted plastic & metal a long time ago

you dont say what processor core you have but tbred is 1.65 (i believe) by default so you can see how far 3.3 is off

the lines comming you of your power supply are 3.3, 5, and 12 so your moniter/motherboard probably just got its sensors 1 off so vcore gives u 3.3 reading, 3.3 gives you 5 reading, ect.

get another program (say samba) or check in your bios and see if it has better readings to see if its the software or the motherboard thats screwed up
