Printer recommendation

My childrens HP825C printer died. What is a comparable ( cost $40.00)replacement that I can get at one of the following stores,
Compusa
Bestbuy
OfficeMax

Canon just brought out a new baseline model, i250. Current technology, very decent printouts even on photos, lowest ink cost in that price segment.

Canon makes good printouts when it doesn't take 10-20 sheets through the feeder at a time. I have a S200 that isn't a bad printer, but I would look at a HP first.
