Leadtek 7350 KDA Processor Support

Anyone have any idea what Athlon XP processors are supported by the Leadtek Winfast 7350 KDA motherboard with the latest BIOS revision??

Their web site is pretty lacking in this area, and I got no response to my e-mails to their tech support.

Any direct information, or suggestions on where to look for the info would be appreciated.

SIS 735 chipset. XP 2100+(not sure beyond Palomino) and AXDA1700DUT3C. Found those from the BIOS updates downloads. The manual is of little help-"support CPUs of...1.133, 1.2, and more"8).It will take an unspecified XP2100+ and an XP1700+ T-Bred B core. Others will surely know the answer though.

Yeah - I read the same info on the BIOS updates, but it really doesn't tell you a whole lot. Overall, really poor tech support - very little info on the site.

One thing I've finally learned from experience is that the biggest difference between brands isn't reliability or performance "out of the box". The biggest difference is tech support, BIOS updates, etc. In the future, I'll be willing to spend a little more for good tech support.

Judging that it will accept T-Breds it can't be all that bad. My guess is that it either tops out at the XP2100+ or goes all the way up to the XP2600+(266fsb). Don't know for sure. Hopefully someone will come along that knows.

You could have spent LESS and still get usable support, e.g. from ECS. They offer the bare minimum (compatibility charts, BIOS updates, drivers), but that'll do.

You're right Peter.

This board has the SIS 735 chipset, like the ECS K7S5A. At the time I bought it, it was on clearance sale for about the same price as the ECS. It looked like a good deal because it has much better overclocking features than the ECS board.

Oh well, if nobody knows anything about this board, maybe I'll flash to the current BIOS that says it will support the XP1700 AXDA processor. I'll pick one of those XP1700's up from Newegg and see if it will overclock as well as everyone says it will.
