Need HELP with my video card!

I just got an ATI Radeon 9600 PRO. After I install it and I power on the computer nothing happens, it doesnt POST. The hardrive spins, even the fan on the video card spins but thats it. What the heck! Here's specs:

Windows XP Pro
Dual P III @ 800 Mhz
256 MB SDRAM
Tyan Tiger 133 Mobo (4x AGP BUS) BIOS date 7/2000
300 Watt Pwr Supply
VIA Apollo 133A Chipset

I tried making sure card was properly seated and did the installation by the book. I think I am cursed to stay stuck with my crappy ass Voodoo5 vid card forever!!

Ok did u do anything funky with the video card or bios ?

Your motherboard may not be able to support it...and your power supply most likely doesn't either.

Does it still boot up if you return the Voodoo to the system?

Is your Voodoo a PCI video card?

Yeah it boots with voodoo which is an AGP card. It recommends 300W power supply. And my motherboard is 4x AGP bus, this card is supposed to be compatible with 4x.

Your power is probably too low, depending what else you got in your case. Try a BIOS update too, that might work.

Can I get a BIOS update, even though my BIOS was from 7/2000? Where can I do that?

Go to the website of your motherboard manufacturer, and look up the make of your board, and then find the BIOS update from there, even an update to 2001 or 2002 might help

unfortunately the last update for this board is the one have I have from the manufacturer, so pretty much I'm screwed.

It might be that your 300 W power supply can't handle t he card, see if you can get one that can supply you some more.
