Connection dies.

This is really beginning to frustrate me. Basically whenever I try to (I think this is the problem anyways) upload anything my internet connection just simply quits working. I can try uploading something simple like a small html page, or connecting a P2P service. Practically the second I do that, my connection stops working, though I can upload thing using FTP. While I can download any number of large files and good speed and not have a problem. A simple reboot fixes the problem. Haven't messed around with any settings. I've contacted my ISP, and haven't recieved an answer yet, but I'm pretty sure it's not a general problem with my service.

I've got a cable connection, straight through no routers/hubs or anything; D-Link ethernet card using Windows drivers and drivers that came on floppy produce same results, gonna see if there are any updated one; running WinXP Pro, no firewalls (including built in) or active AV running.

I was going to suggest different drivers.May just be a flaky card too.I've had some modems act that way.
