Is everybody n00bs here?

Everywhere i look in this forum i see linux n00bs... People who are afraid of CLI... people who use Manrape or some other bloated dist.... people who doesent have a clue on how to install stuff other than rpms.
So, i decided to generate some stats: how many of you are n00bs?

I use Drake 8.2 with IceWM DE (well...sort of...I only use X to browse the web, so in theory CLI is my desktop)

I like my distros bloated, and my desktop environments trimmed to the bone

I wouldn't call myself an adept linux user, so I settled for some experience.

I have installed many different linux distro's, compiled kernels, configured samba, and generally messed about with linux quite a bit in the past. Not currently running ANY linux boxes due to the problems with FAD and linux.

I think you see a lot of n00bs becuase those are the ones asking questions in the foum.

I don't tend to ask many questions - I tend to find answers myself most times.

Cheers
Mick

BTW - manrape?!? That's a new one.

Also, who helped write 20% of the linux documentation?!?!

I'm adept. Meaing I can recompile my kernel without having think black smoke erupt from the case. I can also cook up some mean tar.gz binaries, WITHOUT AN OVEN*!!!!

*before that I would burn the tar.gz onto a CD and crack open the CD over a skillet, or deep-fry it. Let me tell you, cracking a CD is not like cracking an egg, and Deep-fried CD's don't taste very good!

LOL Very nice terminology there. I was working with Linux back 6 months ago but just now installed it the night before.

I hope to pick it up fairly quickly with lots of good help. (Krohn brothers, prae, and eddy all helping of course. )

I think I'm going to start a poll that goes something like:

How many of you are egotistical know-it-alls

1. Yes, I'm 733t and haven't had a date in 3 years.
2. I'm even more 733t than that sap above.
3. Dating? What's that? Sex is only for those flimsy carbon based units..
4. 01010010100100010010010101010100101010101010
