tigerpilot is on a distinguished road
NO Keyboard in XP Pro!!!
all of a sudden I have no keyboard in my other machine XP Pro.
In device manager I get a message " This device cannot start. (Code 10).
Standard keyboard plugged into regular keyboard port.

Have you tried another keyboard? Unplugging and replugging it? Right click it and uninstall it, reboot and see what it does.

It's possible that your PS2 port for the keyboard went bad.

Have you tried a USB keyboard?

hmm, Try resetting your BIOS if you want to, it could be a bios issue.

The keyboard runs in the BIOS menu....
and is COMPLETELY dead when XP loads.. So I am re-installing XP to see if it (registry) will be repaired. and YES! the keyboard runs with the re-install.
