Default user

Is there a way to make a default user in 98SE so that I don't have to log in?

Thanks,

Bill

Bill,

You can change the primary logon from "Client for Microsoft Networks" to "Windows Logon". I'm not sure if that will effect the networkability of the pc.

And here is a link to check out: http://www.microsoft.com/Windows98/u...b/password.asp

Here's another one: http://www.tek-tips.com/gviewthread....615/qid/525326

Havent used 98 in awhile but im pretty sure theres a setting in the control panel under users to disable user accounts, it will probably prompt you the next time you boot up, but just put in a username and leave the password field blank. should work after that

If the above don't work, there is a util on the Win98FE disc called TweakUI that allows for the by-passing of login. you have to root around the CD for it tho'.
