Website error log question

I have awstats on my website and when I check the logs I see an error that says it can't find the following files.

/indexon.gif
/indexoff.gif
/favicon.ico

I did some research and figured out the favicon.ico error, but I don't know what the indexon.gif and indexoff.gif are suppose to be.

Can anybody help me out? Does anybody know?

Thanks,
LK

It sounds like one of your webpages has a broken link.

Do a search in your webfolder for "Files Containing the text" indexon.gif and indexof.gif

Its basically saying that one of your webpages is looking for a file that doesn't exist.

I assume its a *nix box. Try this, goto the root of your web documents and run this:

grep indexon * -R

It will recursively search files for the string indexon

Man do I feel a bit stupid. I was focused on the favicon and found info on that, so for some stupid reason I assumed the indexon/off.gif were something with the configuration as well.

Thanks,
LK
