Try raising it in small steps 5mhz at a time.

I'm using an Epox 8RGA+, and the multiplier is only adjustable downwards. The stock multiplier, 12.5, is the highest I can select. I can select all multipliers lower than 12.5, though, and I'm not sure if this is because of my chip, or my motherboard.

It's a HI LO thing w/ the chip.

There is a wire trick to switch it to HI. Do a google on wire trick.

Raising the fsb is the best way to OC, and the nForce2 mobos are beautys at it.

amd xp 2.6

I have nforce 2 with two memory sticks 256 DDR 400.
I am very interesting at overclocking with the multiplier.
I have tried everything but I can only lower the multiplier.
I know that i can raise the speed through the fsb, but i also want to try it with the multiplier.
Any advice?
Thanks a lot

You've got the RAM and the Motherboard to do it right. Raise the damn fsb.

OK I have already used the fsb but i would like to go further. I WANT TO CHANGE THE MULTIPLIER TO 13 , AND I CAN NOT DO IT.
166x13.
WHY? IN THEORY MY MOTHERBOARD ALLOWS ME TO CHANGE IT BUT IT DOESN'T WORK

LEGIA - Read what Bruneau said - you need to do the wire trick - so look it up in google.
As the CPU comes from the manufacturer, it is Multiplier locked.

where?

Thanks all. I am looking in google, yahoo,...
I found the wire trick for amd xp slower than mine (2.6) and sometimes they say different things.
Do you know the direction for a good web page to unlock my multiplier?
