Breaking 3 GHZ AMD????

I was wondering if anybody knows if it is possible to break 3 ghz with an amd, I currently have an amd 2700+ clocked at default 2.17 ghz. I was wondering if I could do it, and if so, what kind of liquid cooling would I need?

It's highly unlikely. Liquid Nitogen may do it.

Try liquid nitrogen or helium and a highly modified motherboard (think turbo.pll hack), and then you are still likely to fall short of your goal by a couple of hundred MHz.

Check out the SuperPI rankings over at Bunny's Workshop for average returns with extreme cooling solutions.

Whats the best liquid cooling kit for under 250 dollars, I am interested in that, I know I won't make 3 ghz, but 2.6 will do fine, If you know of any good liquid cooling kits, that would be great to know.

There are many great units currently available. You can perform a search in our news section to check out reviews on any of these units:

Asetek WaterChill
SharkCorp Innovatek
Swiftech H20-22500-AV
Danger Den Water Cooling Kit
Senfu Water Cooling Kit
Koolance Exos
Corsair HydroCool200

The Exos system is a popular choice right now, though the HydroCool200 is gaining popularity for people seeking an external cooling solution.

Hey Rob, what internal Liquid Cooling Kit do you think would make my 2700+ cool really low, and a place to buy the Kit. Im looking around a price range of $100-250. That would be awesome! Thanks again, Aaron
