I'm bored...so I made a *pretty* little drawing in Paint with the layout I'm going to use for my water cooling box, which will be made out of plexiglass. Don't nark my 5 minute Paint Job
I'm going to cut a whole nearly the size of the heater core on the heater core's side to let air come in through it. The 120mm fan on the other side will push air outwords. The tubes will enter the enclosure straight into the reservior, and exit in a hole I'll cut in the glass just above it. I'm also going to put a little relay kit in the bottom left corner under the heater core. The whole enclosure will be about 11(l)x8(w)x6.5(h).
For anyone who cares, here's the hardware I'm going to use.
- Dangerden MAZE4 waterblock (it's cheapest...I'm pushing my budget here)
- '86 Ford Cougar Heater Core (Autozone doesn't have a Chevette radiator in stock...this is close enough)
- Via Aqua 1300 water pump (370GPH)
- Watertight electrical junction box for a reservior
- 1/2" cheap tubing from Home Depot...w/c people complain it isn't flexible enough...I guess they don't remember what happens to plastic when it's heated.
Pictures to come as soon as everything comes in and I get it built.
