No Hardware Accelleration??

I have a Dell Latitude CPi 400xt laptop, with NeoMagic 256AV Graphics chip, and I just installed WindowsXP. When I try to play my MPEG videos, it runs very slow, like there is no hardware accelleration. This played fine with WindowsME, which is the OS the laptop came with. Any ideas of what is causing this?

Hmm...

First of all realize the only MPEG 'acceleration' there is is the MPEG-2 decoders for DVD movies.

Try using a different program to play the MPEGs. I'm assuming they are MPEG-1 files, as opposed to MPEG-2 (DVD) and 4. Try using media player 6. Access it by going to start>run, and typing 'mplayer2' without the quotes. If you have any version of Windows Media Player beyond 6, that will be there.

Well, you notice a difference in the look as well, and I turned down my resolution, and it worked fine, but with lines running all thruogh the picture.

OK, I installed other drivers, and they work, but only in 800X600, not in 1024X768.
