winxp unable to delete folders

Fresh load of Windows XP Pro. After running Windows Updates, there are two folders with random number/letters for the name. Each folder contains a subfolder of sp2 that I am unable to enter. I cannot delete these folders. Any clue about how to get rid of them? I can't delete/enter them from the command line either. Thanks,

Jeff

Is simple file sharing turned off and are you logged on as the administrator? You may need to change the permissions on those folders/files first.
