Is there a program....

that can tell you your speeds similar to Dial up networking, but for DSL/CABLE in real time?

I'd like to know how my cable is faring throughout the day for speeds, especially when I'm going to do my gaming. I liked being able to do a mouseover and see what my connection speed was, and then be able to open up the window to see how quickly info was being transferred.

Yep
Except it's real time and you just watch a window on the desktop.

Or there is a program called Du Meter which measures the amount of data the comes through the network. It sits in the taskbar and also it tells you the speed that you download and upload. You just mouseover it in the taskbar. I found the program just a couple of days ago and it works very well.

Also, you can use this for dialup networking, too.
