Which Motherboard?

I recently bought the Asus A7N8X-D motherboard and had to return it because I was getting blue screens like no ones business. So I returned it and the business said that they couldn’t even get it to post. Great cause I thought I was losing my mind. Anyways I have been reading around on the internet a lot and from what I have seen the A7N8X-D has a lot of issues. So the guy suggested that I could do a trade out for a MSI K7N2A.

I thought about it and wanted to read up on it online, but can’t find any links on the board. (I must be really tired)

Anyone have reviews on the board? I wanted the asus board cause of the nice soundcard and network card, but I don’t want to deal with the hassle of another bad motherboard

yeah, i've heard of and HAD a lot of issues with the ASUS A7N8X mobos....

Here is the detail on what I THINK is the motherboard you specified... I couldn't find the exact model number though.

At newegg, all of the MSI boards get really good reviews, and from what I've had experience with & heard of, the MSI's are a good choice.

Yeah, Definetly go with the MSI. My Friend has one and it works well, although the board is rather picky when it comes to RAM. We tryed several brands on the board, and most average RAM did not work. The RAM brands I know that work, are Crucial, Corsiar, PNY, Mushkin and most of all mid range RAM.

Very good board, Loads of fetures. DDR 400 Support and 8X AGP. Go for it.

I just purchased a Soltek SL-75FRN2-RL mobo and I must say i'm amazed with it's performance. Started oc'ing last night and go it to 200MHz FSB no problem. Tweaked a little more and now I'm running 215MHz FSB with no problems yet. I've only read positive things about this mobo and if you're looking for a great nforce2 mobo with excellent oc'ing ability's, I'd say give this board a shot. You can also find some good info about it at nforcershq.com under the Soltek section. Great board IMO, just not as recogzied as some of the bigger name boards.

You just got a lemon. I'd rather have the asus over an MSI. See if they got the epox or abit nForce2's. They're better yet.

I think the MSI K7N2 Delta is the best nforce 2 board you can get.

ummm, the abit NF7-s nforce2 board is far better than the MSI board. in fact, the asus, soltek, and epox nforce2 boards are all better than the MSI
