Help me get the most out of my sound

What i use:

Turtle Beach Santa Cruz (With default sound program)
Winamp2 /w no plug ins
Creative 5300 Speakers 5.1
Windows XP Pro SP1

These programs and such are almost all at default settings..


Now what can i do with this setup to get the most out of my sound? Now, my sound is pretty good, but i want to make it the best i can without pumping out more money for speakers and such.

1) What plugins/options should i use for winamp?
2) What settings should i use for my soundcard?
3) What programs should i use with Winxp to get better sound?

I used to use the DFX audio plugin with winamp but haven't used it for a long time.

Maybe if you happened to click the link you'd have been able to read the description of that particular plugin.
You could have even taken the additional step and downloaded it and tried it out! What a concept!

Okay, iNeb, if he actually edited his post it would have the "edited by blah, blah blah, at". Secondly, your following post isn't within two minutes of MDS' post.

That is a difference of just under 2 hours. BS, he edited his post. Don't be so damn lazy. Maybe if people could manage to do some research on their own I wouldn't be so rude to people.
