how to connect xerox xd 105 to printserver

Does anyone know how to get a xerox xd105 workcentre printer/copier to work with a printserver. I have a Netgear ps111w printserver and can't seem to get the printer to print. The printserver "sees" the printer but that's all. Appreciate any help. I am using XP Pro. Thanks

Have you got the print server properly configured on the machines you want to print with? You'll also need the printer drivers installed on the computers you'll be printing from. You might want to download the latest software from Netgear to go with it. My PS101 worked better after I got a new version of the software. Are you using DHCP?

Yes, the print server has been configured. I have assigned a static IP address and am using a lan connection to the printserver so I can access it directly or through my access point. The printserver has the latest firmware and the conputers have the latest server software. I have loaded the printer drivers on all the computers. When I access the printserver through the browser it shows the xerox workcentre printer as "on line". But I cannot get the printer to print. If I press the reset button on the printserver to force a printout it doesn't work.

I have the same printserver at my office attached to a Lexmark 4039 printer and have no problems at all. I took the printserver I have attached to the Xerox printer and attached it to my office printer and it worked great. The problem is NOT with the printserver but somehow with the Xerox printer. Hope this info has been helpful

The Xerox printer is not supported in any type of network setup or environment. Xerox only supports a direct local connection, meaning that the printer should be directly connected to the parallel port on your computer with an IEEE-1284 Compliant Parallel Cable, with no peripheral devices in between.

Can't seem to get a link to Xerox's KB to work

That's not good news! Well thanks for the help. I'll try contacting Xerox service tomorrow just in case something has changed. Didn't expect to run into this type of problem!
