Is it one of those little square ones that blow out the back?

I'd look for old dead laptops that other people might own and rip 'em out of those.

Is it still under warranty?

If so give it to Dell to fix.

If not, then as EvilRick suggested try to find an old one.

Here is how to service the cooling fan:

http://support.jp.dell.com/docs/systems/pstar/r_r.htm

as referenced from here:

http://support.jp.dell.com/docs/systems/pstar/index.htm

The fan will likely be tagged with a sticker showing the replacement part number. You can order the part from Dell, or just replace with a similiar model from a generic electronics supplier. If you use an aftermarket fan, you may have to splice the wires to the old fan's connector for use with a proprietaty motherboard power header.

i got it all apart already.
i just went on dell's site and looked for fans, or parts and couldnt find anything, perhaps i should do a search for the part number...

and just doing some research right now, i found this link...

i will have to test that first i guess. maybe i am just being paranoid, but i havent seen it on for a while
