UV & Red Cathode Light Combo?

Would a UV light and red cathode light work well together? I want to get my case red and some of my components to glow red. But in order for them to glow I have to have a UV light. I was thinking 2 red lights and a UV light to make my components red (ide cables, floppy cable, fans, and other things). Will this work good? And are the "red" lights really red? Or are some of them pink ?

if you get the good ones they are "RED", but some of the cheaper ones are an ugly pinkish white color. As for the UV light, the red will most likely overpower the UV. Why don't you try a couple UV lights first and see how it looks.

Yeah, the red CC light would definitely overpower the UV light. Try the UV lights with the red window and see if you like the effect. Another option is to use red lights where they won't affect the UV lights. You could put one underneath the case or behind the front panel of the case. I have examples of both on my site. Take look if you like. If you do use one like that, you may want to try neon instead of Cold Cathode. Neon's not as bright, so it may give you a better effect. LED lights are another option.

i have a uv and a blue...and the blue over powers the uv. if i switch them on seperatley they have a better effect. If i was going to redo my case...i would do red and blue....my opinion however.

You can get a good red one here -
http://www.svcompucycle.com/newred12colc.html
If you just buy the tube it's like $3.50.

One tri color I got from SVC the red is PINK.
Since my red light got ruined (don't ask) I took
out the tube in the middle and the outer part
is what makes the light red. Red acrylic tube.

I have a yellow at the top, a tri-color at the bottom.
That's light scheme one; red, with a tri-color is my second
choice. My next one will be a UV with some lasers.

If it's pink try coloring it with a red sharpie or similar marker. I had a pale green one from SVC that looks decent after I used a couple coats with a green marker on it.

If you want red components like fans or cables, try out a couple UV CCFLs with the UV neon maxx RED paint at compUSA...yes, compusa. LOL I think it's like 15 bux a can. There is also clearneon which i heard is good too.
