Buying Fans and such

Hey, couldn't figure out where to post this so I threw it in here for you guys.

Just wondering if I buy a new mobo, can I just use the existing fans that are in the case? Granted their a little old, but im getting a new power supply, new mobo, new processor, and i'm wondering if I can just use the old case with the fans and the new stuff, or is there a real necessity to buying new fans?

well as long as you have enough to keep the temperature down the fans should work fine. New fans can possibly reduce noise and yet move more air so those are both nice advantages but you should be able to use your old fans fine.

Just to make sure you are getting a new heatsink as well???

I am getting the retail version of the AMD Athlon 2500 Barton with the h/s/f all included. However, I was thinking about getting the Thermaltake VOLCANO 9, Copper base inserted, SMART & SILENT. Retail. For AMD Athlon XP up to 2600+ and Intel Socket 370 & AMD Socket 462. Is that a wise choice or just stick with the retail instead?

If you look at the case, it is an Austin power supply. One of the AMD approved ps.

Update to what I'm getting:

-CHIEFTEC Server Chasis (Aluminum Workstation Tower with Plastic Front Cover) Blue w/acrylic window - 450Watt Foxconn Power Supply **Now with 2 x Front USB2.0 and 1 x Firewire IEEE1394 ports**

-Thermaltake VOLCANO 9, Copper base inserted, SMART & SILENT. Retail. For AMD Athlon XP up to 2600+ and Intel Socket 370 & AMD Socket 462.

-Epox Motherboard for AMD Athlon/Athlon XP/Duron Processors, Model# EP-8RDA+

-AMD ATHLON XP 2500+ "Barton" 333 FSB PROCESSOR CPU- RETAIL

Is it hard to build this sorta stuff? Last thing I need is to destroy new hardware...
