Celeron (old) Temperatures

What are the average temperatures for older Celerons, specifically a 333mhz (O/C 417mhz) Socket 370? I have an adapter so it's in a Slot 1 board, so I have no idea what my temperatures are.

I'm wondering if it will run decently without a fan mounted to the heatsink..I'm out of these little fans and every one I put on there ends up rattling after a few days, and it's ANNOYING.

This box is my NAT/Router/Firewall, so though it's working all the time it's never under much load.

You could try doing something similar to what Zalman does and mount an 80mm fan to blow on the heat sink. Run it at a low speed.

Also, un-overclock it. I run my firewall/proxy on A PII 233 and never get any load (load average: 0.02, 0.03, 0.00). That should cool you down a bit. Maybe underclock it even.

Maybe, but I don't have a low speed 80mm fan anymore either.

The CPU has been overclocked since it was built...jumper settings...too big of a pain to change
