That was weird!! My three paragraphs outlining the situation are gone and only the heading remains???

So, in a nutshell, church has wireless network. Linksys wireless router is DSL gateway for internet and will continue to be.

New, large addition including basement housing school where network needs be is out of range (heavy concrete walls and earth). Had them run a network cable from current Linksys to new school area.

They want another wireless at that point. I'm thinking get newer technology (G vs A and at different frequencies) to avoid interference between two wireless networks.

Scratching my head and think I'm sure of part of the answers to the following but don't want them spending money for equipment they can't use. Two routers connected via wire with each running it's own set of clients but all on same workgroup. This IS doable and seem practical given the circumstance and requirements? Should the first, gateway router be the dhcp server for all or just those within its area and the new router?

Guess this was a tough one, huh? Linksys came to my rescue.

Purty easy one actually. Makes sense if Linksys actually provided some reasonable solution. Glad it worked out.
