What would be your *Dream Game*?
What kind of game would you make if you had the knowledge and resources to make it? How would it be original and different/ or better that other games? |

MUCH MORE complex and sophisticated 3D games is what I'm looking for.

If I could (which of course I can't), I would make one of those Virtual reality games. That'd be really cool

I'd make a game where you can jump from place to place at will, talk to and get responses from people, but even to the point that they just ignore you, or for whatever reason talk to you in private.
There'd be an area where you could buy upgrades and sell your old ones.
Oh, and don't forget the Johnny on the Spot news guy to let you know of all the new upgrades that are coming for you to drool over, and with the occasion news that your new upgrade sucks!
Oh, I'm sure there would be some glitches, like a bunch of the people in the game might just huddle in some corner and talk gibberish and use up all the game resources. Programming is a hard thing to to without getting bugs of some sort!
Oh wait, I've already got that game! It's called.....
TechIMO!

My perfect game would be much like Postal. You would start in this big town, and basicly just live your life. Your decisions would effect how your charector ended up looking, acting and such.
It would start with you graduating from high school. You could go on to the Community College and each day your dude would walk into class (you'd have to find the room for it, but once your charactor entered time would speed up so everything inside would fly by). During class your previous actions would effect you like if you hadn't slept you might fall alseep or if you didn't study you would suck and just to terribly when the teacher asked you questions. That would lower your self esteem. People would be interactive with stories and such and you could make relationships by talking to them. Well thats just like real life you say. The twist would be the postal side. You could intimidate the geek in the class to let you cheat on tests, or you could hack the schools computers if your skills were high enough and raise your grades. After college (you don't have to go though) you could do any number of things (expansion packs would increase that number by adding jobs like military, and others into the fray). You could become a "used" car salesman by stealing cars and taking them to a chop shop or you could really buy used ones and sell them. You could buy houses, apartments, lots and buisnesses. The goal would be complete freedom!

Any good FPS shooter, but have it connect to an auction site (i.e. ebay). Players could ante up money, hardware, ect. for a known time slot. The winner of X amount of rounds wins the auction and the stuff. Clans could also register by providing a ship to address that represents the clan.
This would be a cool way for really good players to upgrade their hardware for free. Playing could become a job!
There could be a whole negotiation routine for the players/clans to agree upon before the time slot is reserved. Negotiations could include server rules, map, weapons, game type, etc. as well as what prizes are proposed.
Kinda like the negotiation process in Batteldrome if anyone has played that.

My perfect game will probably be Half Life 2. I want something with superb graphics, something with incredible AI, something that I can easily mod, and it has to be able to play counterstrike!
