I clipped a wire

Total brain f@rt. I was re-cabling my system when I clipped a cable tie and lo and behold the power supply fan sensor wire (black) along with it.Luckily, it wasn't being used.I tried to take the sensor plug apart and re-connect the wires to no avail.
Questions:

Can it be left alone and just capped and labelled do not use?

Can a replacement fan sensor plug be purchased?

Has anyone seen one for sale?

Do I need to trash my power supply? Nah I hope not!!!
It's an Antec TruePower 480 watt True Blue.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

You could just slightly strip each end, tie them together and wrap it with electrical tape.

If you're not using it just cap the ends.

Not using it, capped it, taped it, tied it out of the way. Thanks

You could (have) properly solder it and secured the bond with heat shrink material...

Or purchased some of those crimp on wire splices.

Yeah I would have if I was actually using it. My MSI K7N21G-ILSR board has no connection for a power supply fan speed sensor.

Thanks for all of your input guys.
