I'm not exactly sure what a 'tut or a soem' are so I doubt I have any.

Um, it really isn't hard to take apart a sloppy drive, but theirs a couple things you need to do.

First stop: Radio Shack (or RadioShack.com) Get a multimeter, doesn't matter what kind. Then:

Once you turn the drive over and unscrew the screws on the underside of it, connect it to your case with the cover off the floppy drive and shove a disk in it. Set the multimeter to the correct settings and touch the prongs to the two wires on the light of the drive as you transfer enough files to get a reading. Write how much voltage is going through the light.

Next stop: Radio Shack again. Find the light in the colour that you want in the voltage range that would be acceptable without blowing your LED out. You will also need a soldering iron and solder if you don't have one already.

Now comes the assembly part: Wiggle and twist the light till it snaps off, and then touch the two wires of the new LED to the floppy as you transfer some more files to a disk. When it lights up, you know that's the correct position of the + and - wires. Grab your soldering gun and start on it, making sure not to use too much that it shorts out when the solder from one wire touches the other one.

This is basically what you do, although I have never done it before (don't have a floppy drive in my desktop). Hope it works!
