Cannot move files huh?

Hey guys and gals I am moving some of my movie files to different partitions and there is about 5 or 6 of them that say the file is in use by another program or person and as far as I know I have no other program actively using them. Has anyone ever heard of this and why I cannot move them? TIA

is this from some p2p software you just downloaded?

have you tried rebooting then try to move them over?

No I havent rebooted and no it is not from any p2p software. I have Xp pro and moved several of my movies but there are a few twilight zone episodes I recorded from tv and a couple of my favorite movies that just will not move.

Oh, yeah. I've seen explorer in XP do this. I fixed it by setting the view to large icons rather than thumbnails and then rebooted..

I've had that happen b4 from donwloaded movies if I've been previewing them while its been donwloading, logging off and back in seemed to fix the problem

yeah I just rebooted and was able to move them thank you everyone.
