good brand/model of minidv cam?

i'm in the market for a $700-$800 minidv camera. would like the following:

*snapshot mode, optimally simultaneous with video recording
*intelligent shoe for adding a better mic or light
*good nightshot mode / builtin light

hmm..all i can think of at the moment.

basically i'll have about $600 or so to spend, so if i plan on getting an $800 model on ebay i should be set. hopefully.

any ideas?

We have the Sony DCR-PC105 MiniDV and my wife loves it, but I haven't really used it much. I think we paid like $800 after rebate at circuit city for it. I know it does do stills and has night mode. You may want to check out the Sony DCRTRV33 at cc for $750 shipped.
