Kids No power to new K7T Turbo2 Mobo

I have had to replace my mobo for my old system with a new K7T Turbo2 mobo from MSI. I hooked everything up and switched on the power and got no response. The case fan wouldn't even run. I removed all components and started again, same result. I put the old board back in just to make sure the power supply and switch were working and the fans started imediately. I reninstalled the KT7 mother board with only the processor(AMD Thunderbird 900mHz), one 128 meg stick of PC 133 and a maxtor 40 gig hard drive. Nothing. I cleared the CMOS, tried again, nothing. Could the board be bad, or is there something else I can do. I have only built one other system but I had no problems with it. Thanks.

Sounds like it is bad. If you're sure you haven't mistakenly incorrectly installed any vital cables, then you'll need to get this board replaced

My fault

I found out when I changed motherboards one of the brass footings to the old board didn't line up on the new board and was shorting it out. A lesson learned for a newbie computer builder.

I hope you enjoy your board. I've got the same board (I wrote a review on it too....somewhere), and it's okay. I think it's time for an upgrade though.
