I think its most likely a heat problem. My bro gets it alot with his palo when his hits about 75 C and he gets a buzzing noise from his speakers when he moves his mouse. I would suggest cleaning the heatsink with a vacuum cleaner and take out the dust. When my bro cleaned his heatsink his temps dropped by about 10 C.

I wonder if the cpu cooler is seated properly, does the cooler you have match the specification of your cpu??

Look at your memory timings in the bios. It might be set too fast. Problems like that are usually memory related. Not always though.

its cause its a stinkin palomino. Even with 4 Thermaltake Smart II case fans each putting out 75 cfm it wouldnt get below 60 C. But he then got a vantec tornado 80mm fan and stuck it on the side of his case providing air for his 9700 pro video card and now at full blast his CPU is at 55 C(only vantec tornado running). With all fans running full blast he gets down to 51 C.

sheesh magoo

have u got the turbo turned on on your agp if so if it is turn it off see if that kills the crashing bug another known issue it could be ya processor is not seated correctly well the heatsink are you using a shim between the heatsink and processor if so remove it and are you using a factory fan and heatsink by AMD as i would suggest changing it.
happy computing
