What's the highest end card you can get for a reasonable price?

I want to upgrade my sagging GeForce 3 Ti500, but they card I upgrade to has to be signifigantly more powerful to justify the cost.

I also don't want to pay the outrageous costs of the brand new cards (like $400-$500).

I picked up an MSI Ti4200 8x for <$125 this week @ newegg. It would be nice if I could get the whole computer up and runnin, here're some benchmarks from tom's hardware http://www6.tomshardware.com/graphic...charts-04.html
As you can see, the increase is pretty good over the Ti500, although the 4400 and 4600 were even better, but I was on a budget

Also, here's my recent v/c thread

How about a GF4 Ti 4200 or 4600. I assume you want to stick with nvidia. I have seen those priced between $100 and 150. Some of the ATI cards 9500 pro and higher are good also ,but are over the $200 price range. So how much are you willing to spend?

You can get a 9500 Pro for under $200 at newegg. It's probably the best bang for the buck nowadays, and a bit more future-compatible than the Ti4000 series.

I have said many times before, the 9700pro is a great card and would be well worth the money, it should be alot more affordable with the 9800pro being out.
