dont laugh BUT !!

win2k

right i had a problem with Mysql and windoz stupid add/remove programs said that it could not delete mysql because it could not find the unisall log even though it was there

So the only way i could get rid of it was to boot into me/ and trash it from there, Only thing is i still have the same problem is there any other way of uninstalling mysql a proper way and not using the windows add/remove programs thing.

Try reinstalling it, then see if it will uninstall properly.

Does MySQL have an internal uninstaller and have you tried that?

just delete it's folders, and registry entries.

It happens to me sometimes.... dunno why... it's stupid... the damn log is there and it says it's not....
