problems with internet explorer

I keep getting a message that says internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close then it asks me to send a error report and shuts everything down. this happens about every 5 to 10 minutes any suggestions?

which verison of internet explorer? do you have all the updates?

what windows?

i don't know much about this stuff i'am running xp.

I have had this problem as well, I went to http://www.microsoft.com
and made sure I downloaded every update they had for windows XP.
There are a lot of things that can cause reactions like that and I am no IE expert by far. But it is a definite start and may clear it up.Cleared up mine.

if your running xp then you have i.e. 6

http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp

and get the critcal updates and see if that corrects your problem

i have had the same problems and i intalled all of the updates but internet explorer still wont open. any ideas?
