Here is the problem I am having:
I have 3 computers all running XP Pro... on 2 of them I have the HD's Shared across the network so that I can read and wrtie to them. My 3rd computer won't though when I go to the Sharing and Secuirty tab in Properties... it looks different than my other systems, and when it is shared .. I can't see the drive from my other computers.
Do you think that it might of been caused by me installing Norton Internet Security? I uninstalled it.. thinking that was the problem.. but the problem is still there.....
No...I realize now I've seen both tabs too...I can only get the one you're getting on this system...not sure why there are two different ones. Trying to figure out myself.
I have ran the Network Setup Wizard.. same problem... the only difference in the way I setup this computer as opposed to the new one.. is that on the new one.. during Setup.. I typed in an administrator password... that is the only thing I can think of... the difference between the two screenshots is the Security Tab...
It had to be the Norton Internet Secuity... I just reverted back to a restore point previous to the Installation of the NIS... and now the sharing is how it should be ...
