On board sound card problem

I got the on board c-media 8738 that came with my asus p4s533-e and I have no complains, except that some brand new games cannot detect sound hardware (ex. gta vice city), despite it's directX compatible. Should I purchase and additional value sound card?

The Santa Cruz is on sale for 40 bucks at Circuit City. It's a heck of a deal, I'd jump on it. You'll find it far superior to your integrated sound thing.

if u cant be stuffed buying a new soundcard, goto the c-media website and download the newest drivers
